You spent your last few dollars on a run-down diner off Route 9. It's open 24 hours.
The day crowd is normal. The night crowd is not.

Night Shift is an idle game with a story. Serve customers, hire staff, and watch your little pixel diner fill up with truckers, ghost waitresses, raccoons in aprons, and a Thing in Booth 7 that nobody has ever seen eat.

This free demo includes your whole first diner (about an hour of play)

  • A living pixel-art diner. Regulars take their favorite seats, your cooks work the kitchen, and lines form at the register during a rush. People in line gossip, argue and flirt while they wait.
  • Day and night. Nights pay more, and that's when the strange visitors walk in. Serve them before they leave for big tips or a rush.
  • 7 regulars with their own stories. Marge has ordered her late husband's meatloaf for twenty years. The Astronaut has been looking for your neon sign from orbit.
  • 18 odd hires. Each one has a buff and a catch, and some of them really don't get along. Vlad the night cook won't work days. Mira the ghost waitress scares your line cooks. Nobody hired Pip the raccoon.
  • Night events with real choices. Power outages, health inspectors, raccoons in the pantry, and stranded travelers.
  • An original lo-fi jukebox soundtrack, offline earnings, and English and Spanish menus.

The full game (coming to Steam) adds

  • Selling your diner and starting over in new towns, each with its own look and view out the window
  • Three more regulars and four more kinds of staff, all the way to the Diner at the End of Time
  • The ending: find out what the diner really is
  • Your demo progress carries over. Export your save in the Diner tab and import it in the full game.
